On the tour Vimy, Ortona and Gallipoli, you’ll travel to the flashpoints of major conflicts from modern times back through to antiquity. You’ll see that recent generations didn’t pioneer conflict, but rather that it’s been all too common throughout human history. You’ll visit Ortona and see the site of the battle Winston Churchill called, ‘Little Stalingrad. Your group will also have a chance to visit Gallipoli, where the Turks held strong against Canada’s First World War allies. Then travel through time to Ancient Greece and visit the legendary city of Troy, the battlefield where heroes such as Achilles, Agamemnon and Hektor once tread!
